Hallelujah!

Today was the first time in more than a year that I was able to dash up and down the hill to the top garden, pushing a wheelbarrow, carrying stuff, without getting all winded, and without my right hip asking for mercy.

I even dug a hole for a post for  raspberry support and my right hip let me!
I dug away the sod that made it impossible to open the garden gate far enough to let the wheelbarrow through.  Last year the prospect was just too daunting. It took 10 minutes at most.

Wooho, I am drunk with possibilities! Now we'd better not start taking on new projects just yet. Jupiter is in Taurus almost exactly on my Ascendant. Sun almost there. Exactly the kind of transit to encourage over-extending oneself. If I still feel this great in a few weeks we will seriously consider chickens again.

Meanwhile it is full spring here, we had 2 beautiful days in a row and are expecting more, and whatever the future brings, these days have been well and truly plucked.

  1. Wow. Congrats. What did you do to make that much difference? I have been on a serious walk program for the last two months. The dogs have enjoyed that.

    Want to know your secret.

And now I am adding light weights and other core exercises to the program. Next goal is to lose 15 pounds.

  2. I owe the hip improvement to the chiropractor. He diagnosed the origins of the problem as mainly muscular in nature, and gave me certain stretches to do. They do the trick! As for the energy, it turns out I was severely anaemic. Been taking iron, but yesterday and today I am feeling tired for no reason again. Seeing the MD again tomorrow.

  3. Pain can also sap our engery. I think s thyroid inbalance and anemia caused my lack of enrrgy. I am back to using my cast iron skillets and taking vitamins for thyroid
